Discription
The architectural sleep objects are made from residual streams or created from a sustainability and environmental perspective. Each sleep object has its own character and are suitable for two to four people.
They are various creations designed by different artists, designers and architects including Rob Sweere, ROFFAA architects, Franka te Lintel Hekkert and Ronnie Kommené, Studio Made By and MUD projects. Team Culture Campsite consists of designers and freelancers in the art and cultural sector; Isis Hoos, Boris Duijneveld, Thijs Masthoff and Laura Abbink.
We started Culture Campsite to introduce a wide audience to an innovative view on architecture and design and to broaden their horizon in the field of sustainability in a relaxed way.For this assignment we have to make an architectural object to sleep 1 to 2 people, they have to consist of recycled materials and they have to be located at the Culture Campsite in Rotterdam.
You as a new batch of spatial designers are asked to design a new sleeping object for 2 people for the Culture Campsite.

Sketch phase:
For sketching I started with 10 quick sketches, This mainly because you get a lot of ideas from this, after these 10 quick sketches I make a selection and work it out further. I then often make an overview sketch, with color studies, proportions and situations. and of course views, so you can look from any perspective.
